Online Ordering + Checkout

Online order payment can be made with VISA, MasterCard, American Express, ApplePay, and GooglePay.

All of our prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). You are able to view prices in other currencies, but all orders will be processed in Canadian dollars.

On each product page, once the colour, size and width of a product are selected, there will be a notification above the Add To Cart button which will let you know how many of that item are currently in stock and available to order.

Products that are out of stock can not to be purchased. Most products are restocked frequently, and you will be able to receive a notification when an item is back in stock. Once a size and colour are selected for an out of stock item, a notify me email will appear where you can receive an automated email as soon as your product is back in stock.  Items that do not have a notify me email option means that they are not able to be reordered.

Yes, we are able to order in any products from our suppliers. There is no extra cost to do so. Just send an email on our Contact Us page to let us know what you would like to order and a customer service representative will respond to you shortly.

Taxes will be charged in accordance with the shipping location and will be charged at the rate of that Province. Shipments sent outside of Canada will not be charged tax.

Yes, each product page will have a Size Guide link that will have sizing recommendations for that product. Sizing does vary and these recommendations are to be used as a guide only and will not reflect the correct fit for everyone.  We also have a Product Sizing page, that will show product sizing charts for all brands we carry.

If you need to change an order once placed, please Contact Us immediately. We will do our best to make any changes to your order prior to shipping. Once your order has shipped we will not be able to make any changes.

Yes, dancewearcentre.com is encrypted with the latest web technologies and up to date online securities.  Our website is Certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant.

Ordering Online

Yes, orders over $100 before tax that are shipping within Canada are eligible to ship free via Canada Post Expedited service.  Orders shipping to the Greater Toronto Area may also be able to select free Same Day Courier Delivery for online orders over $100 prior to tax. Find information on certain restrictions on our Shipping page.

Each online order ships from our warehouse in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Orders ship out from our warehouse during the week from Monday – Friday. Orders placed by 10 AM will likely ship out the same day, while orders placed later in the day will usually ship the following shipping day.

We ship via Canada Post, FedEx, and local courier in the Greater Toronto Area.  You will have the option of choosing real time shipping quotes during your check out process from both carriers in both regular and express options.  

Shipping cost will vary depending on what is being shipped and where the shipment is going. Real time shipping quotes from Canada Post and FedEx will be provided during checkout that will show the shipping cost and estimated shipping transit times.  These estimated times do not include the added time it takes to pick and pack your order.

Shipping times will vary depending on where the shipment is going and the shipping option chosen during checkout. Real time shipping quotes from Canada Post and FedEx will be provided during checkout that will show the estimated shipping times of your order. These estimated times do not include the added time it takes to pick and pack your order, which is usually up to one business day.  Orders destined for the Greater Toronto Area and immediate surrounding areas will generally arrive in one business day after it has been dispatched from our warehouse.

You will receive an email as soon as your order has shipped which will include the tracking number of your package. You will be updated during the transit of your order and you will be able to receive alerts as soon as your order has been delivered. If you have a customer account you will be able to login to find all tracking and order information. If you do not receive a tracking number email please contact us.

Once your order has been shipped you will receive an email notification which will include your shipment tracking number. If you have made an account with dancewearcentre.com you can also login and view your recent order information to retrieve your order’s tracking and delivery information.

Yes, during check out you are able to select free in store pickup for your order.  Your order's pick up location will be at our Toronto flagship store location. You will receive an email once your order has been packed and is ready for pick up, which will usually take one business day. Please schedule to pick up your order within two weeks of being notified.

Yes, dancewearcentre.com ships worldwide to select countries via Canada Post and FedEx.

Any shipment sent outside of Canada may be subject to your country's duties and taxes. These charges are separate from your transaction with Dancewear Centre and you will be responsible for all associating fees.

Online Returns + Order Adjustments

We accept in online returns up to 60 days after purchase. Just follow the instructions on our Returns page and in our Return Portal. All returns must be accompanied with your original receipt and all items need to be in their original condition and packaging. Full conditions,restriction, and instructions can be found on our Returns page.

Purchases of underwear, dance belts, earrings, ballet barres, and special orders are final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges. Full conditions and restriction can be found on our Returns page.

Dancewear Centre offers $5 flat rate return shipping for most orders. You will receive a return label to print once you have completed the steps in our Return Portal. The $5 return fee will be deducted from your order refund  amount once the order has been received by our shipping department. Full details and restrictions can be found on our Returns page. 

Exchanges of items can only be done in store.  If you want to exchange an online order in store, make sure to read our full exchange policy to ensure you are eligible. Items ordered online where an exchange is needed are to be returned for a refund and a new order will need to be placed online.  When returning an item, please ensure to read our full return policy to ensure you are eligible.

To make a return you will need to follow all steps outlined on our Returns page and follow the steps in our Return Portal to receive your return authorization and return shipping label. Returns will be credited back to the original form of payment used to place your online order. Full instructions can be found on our Returns page.

If you wish to change your order please email us immediately. We will make every effort to make the proper alterations to your order. If your order has already been shipped it cannot be cancelled or changed. In this case you will need to follow the return policy instructions to return your items.

As soon as our shipping department receives your return we will issue the refund to the original form of payment on your order. You will receive an email once the refund has been issued to your card. Please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to appear on your credit card statement.

If you were shipped the incorrect item that you ordered, please contact our customer servicedepartment immediately.  We will do everything we can to correct our error as soon as possible.  If the incorrect item needs to be shipped back to our warehouse, Dancewear Centre will provide a free return shipping label.

If you feel like the item you have purchased online is defective, please contact customer service regarding the issue you are having and and images of the issue. One of our customer service team will be able to assist you further.

In Store Shopping

Yes, our flagship store location is located at 1150 Sheppard Avenue West, Unit 11 in Toronto. Shop Canada's largest selection of dancewear in our 5400 sq/ft flagship location. Shop our 50 foot leotard wall and over 3000 products in our newly designed storefront.

Dancewear Centre is located at 1150 Sheppard Avenue West, Unit 11 in Toronto.  We are on the North side of Sheppard Avenue and just West of Dufferin Street.  We are conveniently located near the 401 highway as well as the Sheppard West subway station. Dancewear Centre maintains regular store hours that can be found on our Contact Us page.  The store will be closed on most statutory holidays.

Yes, we are located in a plaza that has over 100 free parking spaces for all customers.

Most products that are temporarily out of stock can be ordered in for you at no extra cost. One of our sales associates will be able to add your name and contact information to an order list and we will notify you once the item has returned to stock. Products are restocked frequently, and most wait times are less than two weeks for out of stock items.

If you require an item that is not a regularly stocked product at Dancewear Centre, we will be able to order the item in if for you from most of the brands we carry. These product will need to be prepaid and will be final sale. Arrival times will depend on the brand, but can take anywhere from 1 - 8 weeks.

Yes, we have five change rooms for our customers to use. We limit changerooms to five products to be tried on at a time. For sanitary reasons, the only items you cannot try on in store are undergarments and tights.

Yes, we carry a variety of men's and boy's dancewear and dance shoes.

We offer the flexibility of pointe shoe fitting appointments and walk in pointe shoe fittings without an appointment.  You can book a pointe shoe fitting time here and choose one of the available time slots.  There will always be multiple professionally trained pointe shoe fitters on hand each day to conduct pointe fittings, so if you do not have an appointment you can always just walk in and get fitted as well.  Our store is equipped to comfortably have up to three pointe shoe fittings at a time.  We do our best to limit wait times, but for any walk in pointe fittings there may be a small wait time depending on the number of pointe fittings currently ongoing when you arrive at our store. We kindly ask that all pointe shoe customers arrive at least one hour before closing to ensure enough time for a proper fitting, especially if it is your first pair of pointe shoes.  Fitting times will vary in length but anticipate spending 30 - 60 minutes to ensure you find the right pair of pointe shoes.

We accept pointe shoe fittings up until one hour prior to closing to ensure our pointe shoe fitters can take the time needed to help find you your perfect fit. 

Yes, all products found online can also be found in our store. Currently only ballet barres are not available in store and are only available to be purchased online.

If you feel like the item you have purchased in store is defective, please bring it back with your receipt, and our staff will be able to assist you further.
