I will keep them and I will be happy with them just the same - just flagging this to the store as an order fulfilment glitch that may be happening to other customers as well.
(I was undecided between black and silver, ordered silver, and ended up getting black, which is fine. The label on the box says silver, the box contents were black shoes)
